His big day

Ohai guys! I miss my blog so much. So, here I am after lots of procrastination of transferring the photos from my camera. I wanted to blog about the bf graduation day right after we're back but I got busy with work and then my internet service got interrupted.

When I got the mood to properly sitting down and typing out my thoughts, I realized all of my photos are still in the camera. Another bummer case for me is I lost my totally brand new SD card. Super frustrating because I clearly packed it into our overnight bag when we're away to Bintulu. And that's the last memory that I have of it.

Okay, back to the bf's big day story.

Doing touristy stuffs like taking picture with the trishaw

The trishaw uncles are super unfriendly. We got shouted at just because we wanted to take photo with his trishaw. I mean if you're not keen on people taking photos of your trishaw, just inform us nicely, why shout? Hmmm...

And then it's Jonker Street adventure

I miss Jonker Street last time because I heard they are closing it down and I was there on weekdays. Basically Jonker Street is like pasar malam or night market but more atas one because there's a lot of tourists there.

We couldn't be bother with dinner since all that we've been doing while strolling Jonker Street was eating and eating. There are one too many vendors that offer varieties of food and we tried so much that we're practically full after that.

The next day was his official graduation ceremony.

With my man

I asked him how does he feel when he received the degree on stage, he said he felt nothing at all. Man, when it was my time 2 years back, I was so proud at myself for accomplishing my dad's dream and felt so touched. This man is obviously lack of emotion.

Opsss! I know I repeated the same top from the night before

And that was because I planned to wear dress but it was too hot and I figured that I won't be able to find any good seat while waiting, changed my mind to my long sleeve top but it was too sheer for school. And the rest of the top that I've brought are just normal tee.

Reminiscing the good old day

After the ceremony, we continued our food hunt. The bf brought us back to 万里香satay celup. It was messy but damn it taste so good.

And of course we went back to our lala tepi longkang

Again it was great because the clams were fresh. We wiped the plates clean after 5 minutes. Oh yeah, we even stopped by 一级棒 chicken rice ball and dayummmm, it was great also. I never had chicken rice ball before but I guess this one must have taste better than the mainstream one like Capitol.

If there's one word that I could sum up this Melaka trip, it would be foodtastic. The food is fantastic, get it?
It's funny how I titled this entry as His Big Day but half of the photos are our food photos. LOL

Sunday date

It's been a long while since the bf and I went on a proper one on one date. Last Sunday we went to get a late lunch at Espressense which turned out to be an impromptu date. It was drizzled outside but we're seated at the window side of the cozy cafe.

Since he's back for good, I realize we're too busy living our life and has spent less and less time capturing it. I was browsing my phone photo gallery recently and realized the last picture of us taken together was such a long time ago. Our Sunday would be perfect if only I have my camera with me.

Food wise, Espressense has what it takes to capture my stomach. I love all of our food that day but service wise, they could have done better. I waited too long for my baguette because the waitress forgot my order while we were the only customer dining in. Huge minus point there but I think I would love to come back again for the food. Not now but maybe someday in the future.

Patong Beach | Bangla Street

One of the shots around Patong Beach
We strolled around the same area almost every nights as it is the most happening places around Patong. Streets were filled with vendors selling all kind of stuffs from food to shirts, flip flop, souvenirs and even pirated DVDs. It was fun to walk around and soaking yourself with the local cultures.

Of course there's the famous Bangla Street in Phuket. Very similar to the Walking Street in Pattaya, here's where the night entertainment take places. The streets were filled with clubs and bars with their "call girl" thrown on the street promoting their club. Like the Walking Street, Bangla Street is famous for their strip club, well more like an underground stripe club which filled with transgenders.

For the sake of experience, we did went to an underground strip club and man, the sight of fake boobies made me sleepy. Hahahaha Like seriously, their show somehow were repetitive. The same she-males went on stage dancing in only loose piece of clothing tied around their waist, moving back and forth shaking their things, the guy lady with flexible hole down there showing her skill in muscle flexibility down there by putting various things (eggs, beer bottle and etc) in there without breaking it. One word: gross.

I think gross is the perfect word to describe my whole night at Bangla Street. The only thing that I love about Bangla Street is their McDonald. It's the only McDonald branch that sell bubble milk tea which is super awesome. I even went back the next day just to get another sip of the rich bubble milk tea.

Malaysia, Y U NO HAVE THIS?!

Most of our evenings were spent on the beach playing in the salt water or just sat there and watch sunset. Everyone was so laid back on the beach and it was such a happy place for me. Though I'm not the big fan of sandy salty water but just surrounded by people whom on vacation and super laid back made me feel calm.

I bought my top there for 150 Baht.

Spotted the Australia flag
I did spot some other countries flags too. Wonder if the tourist brought their country flags all the way from their home and put it up there.

Spotted this dog playing happily with the waves.
It was so funny because he would wait in the water until the waves crushing in and jump around as if to avoid the waves.

<3 p="">
Putting this picture up because I think we both looked so funny here. Obligatory pose like an old couple with the landmark.

Phuket is an island full with hidden gems when it come to food because the most worth going or must try eating place are actually pretty much laying low and situated in a narrow shop lot. Like this one shop that we went to, it was just a lucky incident for us to spot this place. It serves the best mango sticky rice, in my and millions other opinions.

Look at the testimonies of their customers. Everyone is bragging about their mango sticky rice.

I tried it and love it. It was so cheap too. We even came back the next day just to get the mango sticky rice

Fried rice. I wonder how something so simple can taste so good

Pork rice I think, bf said it taste good too.
And yes, almost every places in Phuket have WiFi, really convenient one

Yup, their omelette is a must have too

When it comes to food in Thailand, I don't think one should be worry unless if you can't take spicy food, every meals in Thailand really satisfying me. From Bangkok to Phuket, I can't recall any awful meals during my stay. It really is a food heaven.

When it was getting too hot to walk outdoor, we would stay in Jungceylon mall and their The Big C supermarket. Even window shopping in their supermarket made me happy because they have everything. Their snack and beverages selections are endless. I even bought some make up items in there. Mostly the stuffs that are not available in Malaysia.

When we're too tired to walk anymore, we went to a spa for facial because they were having some great promotion that day. Takashi Tokyo facial which only cost 299 Baht. Super cheap and it is not the dodgy kind. Their staff were dressed in professional white coat.

The bf looked kinda nervous

Ready to get my make up off and extract those blackheads.

It's funny how I came in with face full of make up and came out make up less with redness on my face. It was quick and a little painful as blackhead extraction could be. But I got to lie down and nap while being pampered almost the same as going for Thai massage hehehe.

Plain Jane Tee

One of the reason that I love weekend is that I have the chance to dress up nicely and spending my day with the loved one. The must have item in my wardrobe currently is the plain Jane tee (in white) as above. High quality plain cotton tee is perfect to be matched with statement items such as bold bright color, prints and even black to create monotone look.

I matched mine with a simple bright red skater skirt and a comfy flats for a day out. This look is perfect for our forever summer weather in Malaysia. It literally took me less than 3 minutes to come out with this look. Chic and effortless.

Plain Jane Tee is from Inside Her Wardrobe
Skater skirt - Padini
Flats - Don't remember

So many things to do, so little time

I have super mix feeling about how my days go by as for lately. It's not like I'm super busy but I feel so restless, feeling like rushing here and there everyday, for what I myself also been asking this question. Sometimes all I wanted to do is just curl up under my duvet with a good book and let the world goes by outside. But no such luck for me yet.

There are always something to do, something to attend. I've started to lose my sanity with all of these race and am now stuck in the rut.

The first thought that hit me when I open my eyes every morning is "Gosh, i wish i slept earlier last night". Every night when I'm done doing all the things that I wanted to do, the clock already half pass midnight. I went to bed tired and waking up even more tired.

As of late I finally put my words into action. I have been talking about getting back into getting fit and getting tone, so I finally stopped finding excuses and signing up for gym membership. The day after the first gym session was the cruelest. I think my muscle was in shock, it's been years since I feel that way. It was a good feeling tho.

By the way, I found a site that help people to print their Instagram pictures. Imagine how excited I was when I found out that they ship to Malaysia too with free shipping. I had a tough time selecting the pictures because I wanted to print they all. Those are happy memories for me. I already had some ideas to utilize the pictures for my room decor and have a slight itch to start doing scrapbook. I saw some gorgeous scrapbook and deco materials for it the other day at Popular and almost bought it all. But in the end, I didn't because I know it will be completely forgotten and chuck aside in my room later on.

#1 My printed Instagram pictures finally reach

First row from left to right: 1) Christmas dinner at my aunt house back in 2011. 2) When I was in Bangkok last year. 3) My fur lover waiting for his bath time 4) At Phuket with the bf last July
Second row from left to right: 1) At Kuching with my family for my graduation in 2011, 2) Surprise birthday treat from my bestie this year 3) Karaoke session my bestie when Sara back from Bangkok 4) Lovey dovey with the bf at Patong last July.
Third row from left to right: 1) At Phuket with bf this year 2) Goofing around with my baby in 2011 3) Recent selfie 4) At Patong beach again.

I have my picture printed by Portagram. It was USD8 for a dozen but the down side is that it took almost a month to reach my door step :(

#2 Good times

I bought two new novels last week and clearing out my book shelve only to realize I have so many new books to read. Again, I wish I have more time in a day. Maybe you can clearly notice my genre by looking at the book titles that I have. I used to love chick literature so much but when I enter my 20's, I find that the plots are somewhat repetitive. I'm going back to my scary and mystery phase and totally loving it.

#3 I bought at least 20 books this year
And good news is I got most of them on sale and almost free.

TGIF! I'm determine to make my weekend a productive one. I wanna do random shot, wash my car, rearrange my closet, getting my nails done with my bestie, fix my hair etc etc

This is random but I miss Danish.

Because I love food

One of my favorite thing to blog about besides my travel tale, is food. Food is more than just part of essential in live, for me at least. The smell of food makes me drool, the taste of food give me foodgasm. (Food orgasm, get it?). And I love taking pictures of my food more than my own selfie. True story.

That's why when I go through my photo in my phone, I found more food photos than my selfie. Maybe I'm not vain enough, or maybe I love food a bit too much. Either way, I'm gonna spam this post with all food photos.

Sorry in advance if I make you drool.

Lunch at Uncle Dom Cafe
My must have there are beef ginger rice, fish maw soup and their 炸水饺。I used to love their Sambal Mee Hoon but after awhile I find that the sambal is too overwhelming.

Dim sum dinner at 鱼丸村。I'm not sure if this the correct name because I kinda forget already.
My pick for dim sum are cheese meatball, salted egg roll and bf must have is the custard bun.

I currently discover overlay in picture editing and have been obsessing with brenoverlay. Many has misunderstand brenoverlay as photo editing apps. It is not, it's artwork or scribble that you edit your photo with by overlaying them. So my photos here onward with the overlay are edited using PicArt (a photo app) and customize with brenoverlay.

Lunch on Monday was at Noodle House.
I super love their stew pork rice and mille crepe. Their original mille crepe tastes better than Nadeja.

Tuesday lunch at Opps Kopitiam with their set meal

Wednesday lunch at Yummy Cafe

And Friday we're back to Opps Kopitiam again for their set lunch.
Everyday they have different set lunch included barley value for only RM4.90.
Super cheap right?!

Dinner date with besties at Bisteca Bistro.
I think Bisteca Bistro has improved a lot. We had their Hawaiian Chicken pizza, pan sear Dori and marinara I think. All were delicious. Definitely money well spent on food.
And picture was stolen taken from Hoe Facebook.
