Life update

9 months ago I wrote here to say that I will be back again at the blogging world. But it took me this long to draft another post. I'm ashamed at myself.

I was so busy making excuse for myself but today I've decided to just sit down and write whatever that comes to my mind in this space. Ahhh how I miss the freedom to share my thoughts on my blog.

Let's pick up from where we left off last time, shall we?

Hailey was just almost a year old in my last update. Now she's one year and eight months. She's at the stage where she started to talk and mimic us. It was so cute and my heart is full of love when I see her.
Isn't she a cutie?

This year marks the year I've grown the most I think. I have been pushed out of my comfort zone and to take up a few side projects. If you asked me 2 or 3 years back to try out something new, I would probably shy away and nestled back to my comfort nest. My interest changed from time to time. One minute I was busy in the kitchen trying out new recipe or baking my own bread or started my own herb garden, the next minute I totally engrossed in something new.

One thing for sure, I still love cooking and gardening but I don't have that leisure time anymore. Maybe one day I will do it again.

Right now I'm focusing on my side projects which will push me out of my comfort zone but I believe my future self will thank me for taking the first step.

I'm now a member of Sibu Toastmasters

I've never heard of this club until one day my husband told me about it. He said I will love this club and I belong there. True enough he was right. I thought I will stop learning once I left the uni but I'm so happy that I found a new platform to continue.

During the table topic session which is my favorite session

A random selfie of myself in case you guys forgot what I look like.

I have lots of holiday trips that I have yet to write about. Looking through the photos make me itch to travel again. Can't wait for my next holiday which is 2 weeks away!

Ho Chi Minh, August 2017

Jerudong Park Brunei, Sept 2017

Gili Trawangan, Lombok, October 2017

Hailey's first trip to Perth, January 2018.

One of things that I'm doing now.

It is a tried and tested product for me. Again thanks to the husband, he actually bought one lipstick for me to try on since I have severe dry lips. I was skeptical at first but blown away by the result in one week. Now this Legend Age Lipstick is something that I used myself so I'm confident in selling it to my friends.

I have other plans lining up in the near future but currently I'm really happy and grateful for what I have. Have a nice weekend, my old friends!

October update

So what's up, you guys ask?

It is pretty much the same to me. Wake up, work and sleep and repeat the whole cycle again. But I have to say, I kinda love this. I'm trying to squeeze in as much alone time with the husband before baby arrival. So our nightly routine pretty much the same. After work, we would have dinner and watch movie together or sometimes he watches his movie and I read my book side by side. I'm finally getting back into reading mode again and I really love it. Just last week I've finished Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult and as cliche as it sounds, Picoult touched my heart again with her story.

Anyway, let's the photos do the talking. These are the photos that I took this month.

Was scrolling through my phone and I found that I rarely take selfie now. So decided to take one on the way to work. Putting on mascara every morning is such a hassle to me, so I have been playing with the idea of eyelashes extension.

I thought of doing it on December so that I can have pretty lashes during confinement wtf. I mean if it makes me happy then why not. At least I can be pretty and happy without hair wash for a month lol.

This was taken during my 28 weeks and now I'm 31 weeks and the bump has grown significantly bigger which means limited wardrobe choice.

Since my wardrobe choice is limited and I'm not planning on getting anymore new clothes to accommodate the bump, I'm rotating my clothes that fit on heavy rotation. I will make a dressing the bump post soon. Right now, the dress above is my favourite because it is so comfortable and doesn't restrict my movement.

Was attending dinner with husband and his family early October. Bummer that we didn't won the lucky draw this time because last time in Kuching, we won quite an impressive lucky draw. I have to say our baby brings us so much luck. I'm feeling really really grateful for it.

We managed to squeeze a visit to Brunei on long weekend in early October to visit my cousins.

It was an impromptu plan because my aunt wanted us to come over to pick up some hand-me-down stuff from Kelly for our baby but we couldn't manage to find time. Plus, we need to drive all the way from Sibu to Brunei and bumpy car ride doesn't sound like fun when you're 6 months pregnant. But we realised that the long weekend in October is the only long weekend left before the baby's due.

So, we just went ahead. I'm really glad we did because I had wonderful time catching up my aunt and cousins. But the ride came with big price, we drove straight back from Brunei to Sibu and the whole journey took 12 hours. I couldn't felt my bum and back afterwards.

I had the best dim sum breakfast ever and it is halal.

I was beyond tired when we reached Sibu and the next day I had a Modified Glucose Test scheduled early in the morning. I thought I was okay and went ahead with the test. 30 minutes into the test, I threw up because I got dizzy and started to break into cold sweat. Bummer but I already scheduled for another one next month. I've asked the doctor is it necessary to do glucose test, she explained that is it the hospital policy to have expecting mother aged 25 years old above to do the test. I guess there is no escape then.

Say hello to my 29 weeks bump

And this is my 30 weeks bump

Someone is taking advantage of my bump as his resting spot.

I feel so guilty for spending less time with Pino now. So when I'm home, I'd make sure that I bring him for long walk which is his favourite activity. He's 8 years old now and I could sense that he's not as active as he was before. It's sad to know that my little pup is growing old.

Many has asked whether I eat clean during the pregnancy, honestly I tried to but I didn't stick to any diet. Most day I have my meal on time in small portion. I do snack in between and this is where I get naughty. During my first and second trimester, I diligently snack on fruits only and totally avoiding junk food and carbs such as bread.

My favourite fruits are kiwi and seedless grapes.

Sometimes, I do have instant noodles such as maggie curry as dinner. This is my guilty pleasure and if it is up to me, I can have this as dinner every night. During this pregnancy, I've developed sweet tooth. Another guilty pleasure of mine that I had almost every day is ice cream. Husband knows that I love ice cream but what he doesn't know is that I had it every day. Hehehe I sneaked a few scoops when I'm alone.

I never thought that I would love chips and chocolate too because pre-pregnancy, I detest junk food and anything sweet. But now, I can finish a packet of chips on my own in less than 10 minutes. Even the husband is shaking his head.

Yup, this is our groceries.

But when it comes to carbs, I still try to reduce it. During my last checkup, the nurse did mentioned that my weight gain is slightly fast. I'm 7 and half months pregnant and has gained 10 kg. So, I guess no more sneaking ice cream for me then. sobs

This year the husband decide to go back to basketball and joined a competition.

It is refreshing to see him back in the court. They're playing in semi final now and some games were very nerve wrecking because the points were so close. Even the baby in my bump is as tense as me when I watched the game. We just got back from the game now and too bad that the husband and his team lost by one point. It was so close but it's okay, they'd played well.

That's all for my October update!

My Neighborhood dogs

Two months ago when I was getting ready to leave for work in the morning, I spotted a cute dog outside my gate. She looked tame albeit slightly dirty. I have never see her around before. I left for work and came back in the evening, she still around. This time I patted her.

She looked so innocent and just wanted someone to play with her. One thing that I can confirmed is that she's not a stray because she got her collar on. Every time I walked Pino, she walked alongside with me. I named her Nomi.

For a few days, I only spotted her alone but my mom found her owner and they lived a few houses away from us. One day, when I was walking Pino, I stopped by the house and guess what?

She has puppies!

Oh my God, these puppies are the cutest thing ever. They are so small and soft looking. I guess they only a few weeks old. When I first saw them, they can barely walk and still drinking milk from their mama. Fast forward to almost 3 months later, these pups are the most active doggies I have ever see.

My heart melts <3 p="">
Meet Kiki, she's the laid back version of her brother.

This is Koko, the hyper active puppy that loves your attention

I'm such a dog person that it doesn't take long for me to fall in love with these 3 dogs. However, I am really mad at their owner. I first discovered Nomi because she was running away from her house. I found out the owner always locks and leave them in her porch area for days without feeding them. Nomi escaped through the iron gate shown below because she is so skinny.

She just gave birth to 2 puppies and her owner didn't feed her regularly. Most evenings I would feed her and her little family some leftover food. They seems so happy and devoured the whole bowl in seconds especially Koko.

This was taken months ago, now they both had grown up and displays totally opposite attitude.

When I walked Pino in the evening, I often brought them along and they would run happily with him, except that Koko is such a bully to Pino. Maybe they just want to be friends with Pino but I have to admit that Pino is a bit snobby and has a strong alpha male attitude. So, our evening walks often consists of me chasing Koko to stop chasing Pino meanwhile Nomi blocking Kiki from chasing Pino too.

These puppies are so active that I often found them fell in the drain and had to rescued them. One time, Kiki was missing for 2 days and I thought she was gone for good. But at 5 am, I heard a loud barking just outside my house. I knew it must be her, True enough, I found her barking form the drain and covered in mud.

More than 1 week ago, the same thing happened. Kiki was missing again. I didn't see her for days when I fed them. I thought she would come back like she did before but until now she still remains missing. Then 5 days ago, Nomi is missing too. Maybe she went looking for Kiki but it's been days and they both still remain missing.

I'm so sad and did tried to look for them. I searched around my neighborhood and shouted for them but no response, I'm really worry because it is been too long and I have no idea what happened to them.

Did Kiki fell into the drain again and didn't make it this time because it rained quite a lot lately and surely the water level is high. The drain was dry and empty when I first found her. I scare that she got washed away by the current. What happens to Nomi then?

She's adult dog and surely she know how to save herself. My mom speculated that somebody must have taken Kiki because she's cute. Could the owner took them away perhaps? Because they now hang around in front of my house instead of their owner's house.

Koko is still active these day but he looks really lonely and sad that his mother and sister are missing. I hope Kiki and Nomi will come back soon. These are the dogs that greet me everyday once I step out of my house and I am already emotionally attached to them. I really miss seeing all of them playing together.  I wish for them to come back and reunite again.

Update:
I just found out that Nomi was taken by municipal council as they claimed her as stray dog. She is not a stray! She has her collar on. It's been 3 weeks I think and I just contacted my friend from the municipal. She informed me that after 3 months if nobody claim the captured dogs, they will be put down. T_T

I don't want that to happen to Nomi, I love her as my own. I did went to her owner house to talk to her about claiming Nomi back but she didn't even come out from her house. I was positive that she heard me calling her but no response. I'll try again tomorrow or else I myself will claim Nomi.

As for Kiki, she's still missing. I'm not sure where she is.

And Koko, he got really sick last week and vomited more than 7 times in the span of 4 hours. He refused to eat and lost weight. We had horrible storm 2 nights in a row and he was cold and shivering outside. When I found him underneath our car in the morning, my mom almost ran him over, accidentally of course. He was all wet and cold. We took him in and he rested 2 days in our porch, still refusing to eat. His body is covered with ticks too.

I was really worry that I will lost Koko too. Luckily on the third day, he got better and started to gain his appetite again. Today, his owner gave him bath. He is all fresh and clean, so full of energy and I'm so happy for his development.

Next thing that I need to do is rescue Nomi from the municipal council.

Getting back on track

When I read back on my current posts, mostly are my backdated travel posts. Somehow that makes me feel like I haven't update much about the current happening in my life. But the truth is I always update on Dayre on the go.

As much as I love Dayre for its convenience, I love my blog more as this is my original Dayre diary (Get it? hahahha) I am so not ready to let Dayre takes over my blog so here's the current update on what's going on in my life recently.

But first, my selfie

My right side is my good angle and most of my selfie post is like this. From left side I look like I have a bald patch on my forehead.

Like here, see the receding hair line? Partly is because my hair is flat that day.

It was taken 2 or 3 weeks ago during date night with the bf. I tried the Thai Fried Rice from Secret Recipe. It came with Tom Yam soup which honestly was pathetic. It was a cold chili soup with lime. But the fried rice was bombdiggity.

Recently I've been feeling bloated and fat, this one I'm sure is because my period is coming.
So I decided to embark on a healthy lifestyle.
I know my own habit so I start small with basic stuff like less rice intake, no carb for dinner and exercise every other day.

So far so good la although I'm not quite consistent with my exercise.
I did yoga last week, just the basic stretching and my arm muscle was so sore the next day.
In term of diet, I normally skipped rice for lunch and no dinner.
But if I'm hungry, I made simple baked fish like usual.

Baked fish with veggies

For lunch normally I had soup like this

Baked fish with mushroom again

I am so used to eat till I'm full, so the sudden change of diet really affected me.
I got hungry so fast everyday.
But I'm slowly adjusting.
I still love all the carb and delicious food so I still enjoy it when I'm out with friends.
For me, the key is moderation because no way I'm cutting all those carbs and steak from my life.

I miss Danish, he has grown up so fast

I asked for my sis to pick up Danish last week to spend the weekend at our place because I miss him so much. He has grown up so fast and entering his Terrible Two phase.

I can no longer hold him for more than 5 minutes because he's getting heavier

Terrible Two show.
He threw tantrum and cried on the floor when we won't give in to his demand

Awwww melts my heart

Cheat day with donuts.
But only half a piece was mine, 5 and a half were the bf's.

Now I find that grocery shopping is way more fun that clothes shopping
This is a definite sign of ageing T_T
Also I got sleepy after 10pm and must go to bed before midnight on weekday or else I'll get cranky the next morning.
It slowly sinking to me that I'm no longer a young adult anymore.
I'm in mid twenties now and next time before I know it, I'll be approaching my 30s.
Damn it time, slow down please!
I feel like I haven't achieve anything yet except for a growing wardrobe.

Iphone snaps

An Iphone snaps update to see what's going on in my life for the past month. Right now I'm really piss off with The Sims 3. The thing is I just reformat my laptop, hence I need to reinstall the game. And the problem is that I keep getting error message when installing it. Probably the drive can't read the disc or something, I'm so desperate that I even watch Youtube and googling like a nerd to find a solution. This is my third try to install the game, finger cross it works.

I was complaining to the bf that we seldom take photo together these days. And he literally forced me to take photo with him since then. ='=

During dinner with my family

Outing at the mall

I couldn't carry Eden for more than 5 minutes now, he's growing bigger and bigger

One of my attempts to try eat healthy.
And yet I burnt my fish fillets.

Oh yeah, I've finally managed to reinstall The Sims 3.  Why does all these games are so complicated to install or am I just to noob? It took me whole day and various of forums and Youtube tutorials to figure it out.

My nail polishes haul from Elianto. I got all of these for only RM25 from the current online sale for Elianto.

Went for Sushi King Bonanza last 2 weeks and I had so much salmon that I wanted to puke.

Visit my brother's dorm at my alma mater. Totally not missing the tiny room.

Quick selfie

My dark circle is horrible T_T

My best buy from Daiso lololol

I've been looking for herbs for cooking but it is so expensive. I even contemplating to plant my own except that I have no idea where to buy it. I was so excited when I spotted basil and oregano in Daiso. They even have ginger, turmeric, garlic and so on. Japanese are really awesome.

My Sims before I uninstall it.

I created this Sims out of boredom and kinda hate her because she did not accomplish anything. Technically my fault la since I'm the one played her. I cheated to get more money to build the house and slowly get bored because I have nothing to look forward to except to see her twins growing up. It is taxing to care for twins for a single mother, so I just uninstall it. Actually I could just create a new character lolol.

Trying out strawberry tea, tasted really weird.

Another attempt of eating clean. Baked fish with potato and carrots.

My first try making baked fish in foil was a bit fail because my fish was tasteless, not enough seasoning. The second try which was photo above was over seasoned. Too salty and peppery. Hopefully my next try will turn better.

Back to the gym after a long time of hiatus

Evening walk with Pino

Actually it's my favorite thing to do after walk. Sadly, lately a 5 minutes walk will caused me numerous mozzie bites. Right now I have to put on mosquito repellent before leaving the house.

I did the unexpected last Saturday morning by going to the farmer market with my mom. I have not been there for at least 10 years. How much things has change now because the sight of fresh produce makes me happy now.

And everything is cheap too if compared to supermarket but the downside is it was so hot

So glad to be back in the air conditioner.

That's all for update now because I want to go back to my Sims. I just bought two new expansions and so excited to try it.
