I Want CosmoBox

Have you heard about CosmoBox? Well, I have from my favorite blogger Joyce. If you're familiar with Birchbox, it basically run on the same concept. Beauty products carefully chosen and wrapped in a beauty box delivered right to your door steps every months. It's sound fun and excited for a beauty junkie like me.

What's more important is you get to try high end products at a less than a fraction of its price before deciding to purchase it regularly. Definitely is a wise move to do before splurging a huge amount of money into something that you have no idea will suit your skin or not. For more info, check out their website  http://www.boxculture.com.

So many goodies in just one box

If you know about my quest to delay aging, you will probably know which product that I'm talking about.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about the brand but not ready to fork out quite an amount of money for something that I'm not sure will work best and suit my skin. Therefore when I see this opportunity, I take no time to jump at the chance to get this goodies deliver to my door step and continue my age delaying quest.

Some people may think that I'm too young to start delaying my aging but recently I started to notice some fine lines under my eyes and some on my forehead. It's kind of bugging me, to be honest. With its 3X White™ technology, I hope it will works wonder for me. Murad products is based in The Science of Cellular Water too which provides hydration for your skin. Do visit http://www.boxculture.com for more info.

There's still hope for me to push the fine line and wrinkle away for awhile while keeping my skin hydrated after all. Let's hope the fairy will grant my wish!

Weekend away - Kuching

This getaway was on January but I never have enough time to blog about it, so here goes. Truth to be told, we're really close to cancel this plan because of a hiccup. But I was so determined to go, I really need a break from work and I miss Kuching so much.

This trip was a chillax for us. All that we did was meeting friends, eating and shopping a little bit. I know I always say I only shop a bit in most of trips but this one is real one. I only got myself a top for Chinese New Year and that's all. But the bf was going on differ direction. He shopped a lot, totally did his CNY shopping there.

We were super starving when we reached Kuching at evening. Checked into Abell Hotel, freshened up and we wandered nearby to grab some snacks before dinner.

Trying Ding Tea milk tea for the first time and I came to conclusion that every milk tea tastes the same.

Shihlin crispy chicken, seriously taste better than 大大大鸡趴 ( Dunno whether the name is correct or not)

After snacking, we met up with my HEMAS friends for dinner, it's my must do whenever I was there. But too bad we didn't take any pictures together.

Saturday was spent shopping mostly. Bf was on a hunt for his CNY new clothes. He was in and out of fitting room while I nodded and shook my head for any clothes that he model for.

We stuck at traffic a lot too :(
By the way, thanks Mila for lending us your car, love you!
We also managed to meet up with bf's friends too and watched Parker, sadly it's a boring movie.

At night, we took a stroll at Waterfront. I used to hang out there a lot when I stayed at Kuching. The crowd there was playing Amazing Helicopter, so we joined them. Got tired then we hang out at cafe nearby and shisa-ed.

Sunday we explored the new mall, City One since we had a few hours to spare before flying back. The mall still so new and not much shopped open yet.

So we fooled around a bit, pretending to be away somewhere cool  cold.

Posing with CNY props

Tried the yogurt ice-cream and love it.

Hanging out at Starbucks before boarding

Bangkok Part 4

Click here for my Bangkok trip posts:

Continue from my Bangkok posts previously. Other than eating, we're busy shopping. I kinda lost track of which day these pictures were taken.

On our way to Platinum Mall

Bangkok sure is famous for its shopping but I didn't really shopped much there. The price range is not as cheap as I thought it would be. I guess that's what tourism did to the shopping scenes there.

A must do in Bangkok

We had our lunch at Platinum Mall food court and I had my chicken bento.

We shopped a bit at Platinum and wandered to Central World nearby. However, I still managed to get a few accessories at Platinum, a clutch, tops and dresses and shoes too. Okay la, I did shopped a lot.

The famous shrine

Can you spot my recycle shopping bag? hehehe

Some people even took shopping to an extreme level and trotted a trolley bag to put their hauls but I think most of them were sourcing for their shops/blogshop.

We had yakiniku for early dinner.

It was super delicious and we refilled our bacon 3 times shamelessly.
I myself salivating when I think about the crispy bacon now.

On the way to catch our train to go home

Since Sara lives a little bit off the central of Bangkok, we actually had to commute via train and catch bus/van/taxi afterward to go back to her apartment. That night was the first time in my life I experienced the most horrifying traffic jam. It was evening where people were off from work and students back from uni. The train station was jam packed and the bus that we're on also super super packed. It was really sardine packed, if you get what I mean. We stuck in immobile traffic for one whole hour and I had to stand almost throughout the 2 hours bus ride home in a packed bus. My face was literally shoved under someone underarm. ='= Unbelievable how a 20 mins bus ride turned into 2 hours just because of the traffic.

I'm glad traffic back home is much more bearable.

24th Birthday

So, my birthday was last month and I have been really taking my sweet time to blog about it. Maybe it's the age thing, I was not feeling as excited as I was during birthday when I was younger. Aging sucks, you know but it's a good thing too. Haven't you heard the more birthday you have, the longer you live? (Sorry I'm so lame :p)

Duck faced.

My date for the night, the bf.

This is the first time I've put up the bf's picture in my blog. My blog is always been something that so close to my heart, a place where I let everything out, it's something personal for me. It's something that I would look back when I was older and reread what the younger me had done. Since my blog is public too, I've always been careful with what I posted here. Therefore, I chose to wait awhile to make him go public in here.

What I thought to be a normal dinner with some friends at Tanahmas turned out to be a surprise one, planned by both of my dearest friends, Xiao S and Miao. Both of them were acting nonchalantly whole day that day. Xiao S coldly wished me Happy Birthday through Whatsapps and Miao didn't even wished me at all. I should have known they had something up on their sleeves.

Meet the culprits:
Xiao S

Miao

Finally took my Union Jack clutch that I got in Bangkok out for that night

After our meals, we excused ourselves from the guys to the ladies room to do what we're best at:
Camwhoring

Outfits of the day:

We really made full use of all the mirrors in the washroom

Girls, thank you for making my birthday such a happy and great one.
Real friends are hard to come by these day.

Thank you too babe. For making sure I have all the persons that I care and love to celebrate my birthday with me.

Instax mini from the bf as my gift <3 p="">

2013 resolutions

So, it's time for me to put up my 2013 resolutions here. This is not exactly a resolution for me, it's more like the goals that I want to achieve this year. Last year, my resolution is simple. to save more money and to travel more. I won't say I'm doing good for both of it but I think I was not doing bad either. I've traveled to Singapore for a short weekend in June (you can check it out on the right side bar labelled Singapore) and Bangkok in December (which I haven't finish blog about yet).

And for this year, I want to travel more. I really really love going to a new place and discover new culture, trying new food and of course, having some self discovery during journey like this. With that said, I've already planned my vacations for first half of 2013. I'm so excited for this :)

My other resolutions/goals are going to be simple and hopefully I can stick by it as good as I can.

1. To travel more as I wrote up there.
2. To be financially secured which means save more and no more dragging my credit card payment and start paying my student loan.
3. To love myself more. I kinda aware that I'm getting older so my skin and health condition may not be as tip top as it was before. Therefore, this is the year that I'm going to be health conscious and delay my aging wtf.
4. To start my own side earning.
5. To move somewhere out of the country. This sound bizarre but I have always wanted to live in other countries, so finger cross for this. Bf, please make this happen for me <3 p="p">

I hope by writing these goals in this space will help to remind me what I want to achieve this year and tick everything off by the end of 2013, you know kinda like the secret of The Secret.

Cheers to the fresh new start!

Being domestic

I never see myself as a domestic person. I mean, I clean my own room and make my own meals if I have to, but that's the extent of my domestic side. I can't cook without instant pack and I don't do house chores. But when the parents were out of town for new year, I was forced to show my domestic side.

Having a full off day one the new year itself, I woke up as usual around noon. Maybe it's the new year thing, I had a sudden urge to clean the house and cook lunch for myself. Armed with instant green curry paste that I bought from Bangkok, I tried to reliving the foodgasm that I've experienced in Bangkok. As expected, failed. My curry turned out to be too salty and way to spicy. Obviously, adding chili and capsicum was not a great idea to a readily made curry paste.

And then I swept and mopped the floor, did the laundry, checked the dishes to make sure they were all cleaned, wiped the counter top. Watched Gilmore Girls for 2 episodes before I decided to change my bed sheet. Having done all that, I sat in living room and decided to give my dog a bath. Before I knew it, it was almost 6 pm. Time for dinner. I had some leftover fish fillet and decided to make fish and chips. This one however was a great success. Who would knew adding beer to my batter would make my fish so good. Thanks Youtube!

Somehow I felt calm and collected after doing all the chores. It came across me that doing house chores is one of my new way to de-stress. I love the outcome, the feeling of walking on a clean marbled floor, seeing everything is where it should be, nice and neat. Maybe it's because I was having the house all to myself, or maybe it's just me. The new me, the obsessive compulsive me.

Happy new year 2013, everyone. Let's see how long we can keep our new year resolutions.
