#20 fun facts about me

I was tagged by my friend on Instagram to do a #20funfactsaboutme. I contemplated to do on my Instagram but against it and write it here instead. Haven't done tag post for quite a while, this might be fun. So here goes my list:

1) I am terrified of cat. Yup, I can handle dog but not cat.

2) I love travelling. So I make sure that I go to 2 new places at least every year.

3) My feet is small. My shoes size is 4, sometimes 3, no kidding.

4) I don't like sweet food. Especially drinks because it gives me toothache every time and I have to brush my teeth straightaway.

5) I'm really grumpy when people wake me up in the middle of my sleep, or when I'm lack of sleep.

6) I'm not a morning person but slowly becoming one. This one sure is aging symptom.

7) I love reading. I used to read a lot when I was younger. Now I have at least 30 new books that I haven't read yet. I bought it all on sale and book fair.

8) I've never been to concert. :(

9) I love beach, so I always plan a beach holiday every year. 

10) I'm a impatience driver, I hate slow driver on the fast lane. 

11) I don't like sleeping in aircond anymore because I don't like the cold.

12) Back in Uni, I'm active in Taekwando. Sadly, I forgot most of the steps now.

13) I was active in yoga and cardio in 2012 but now I rarely go anymore. I'm so lazy :(

14) I collect stamps when I was a kid. I have 2 albums filled my stamps. I also do scrapbooks for my favorite boy band, Westlife and favorite singer, Britney Spears. I still love Westlife now and know their songs by heart.

15) My height maintains 150cm since I was 12 years old. 

16) I'm not good in Math or numbers. But I'm very good at memorizing phone numbers.

17) My favorite holiday is Christmas but I've never really celebrate it because my parents and friends are not really into it. 

18) People always mistaken me for Chinese but I'm not.

19) My job now has nothing to do with I've studied in Uni. 

20) I love dancing.

Langkawi Day 2

On the second day of our trip, we chose to go island hopping because my siblings were really excited about it, especially my brother since he missed our KK trip 3 years ago. Island hopping in Langkawi is really cheap in my opinion. But of course what you get is what you paid for. No lunch nor snorkeling equipment provided we are not going to snorkel anyway. A snorkeling trip can cost up to RM90++ per person with lunch provided (this is too expensive in my opinion).

We overheard a group of tourist arguing with the tour guide there. I don't blame the tourist though because some guides can be quite pushy. They have their own photographer that will take photos of each of us and print in on a plate for us to buy. It was kinda awkward actually, I don't want to buy it but I don't want my picture being put on display for others to buy too. 

Our guide, I don't think we managed to get his name is not really friendly, sadly. He did his job, explaining the basic history of the island. But when we asking questions, he ignored us. Or maybe we asked too much questions and he couldn't be bother to answer wtf. However he only answered my dad's questions and ignored the rest of us. ='=

Remember when I said that monkeys are everywhere on the island? Well, monkeys are really EVERYWHERE. They are on the trees, on the pathway, on the railings, seriously everywhere. We were warned not to bring food or plastic because the monkeys might attack us for food. 

That's not classy showing off your balls, dude!

The lake

It rained right after we reached the lake. It took about 10 minutes of walk from the jetty to get to the lake. Everyone were scurried off to get shelter or buying raincoat/umbrella from the stall, only us busy diving into the water lol.

It was  drizzling with a few minutes of heavy rain and back to drizzle. So it was safe to swim in the rain. I thought I was a good swimmer but 5 minutes in the water trying to maintain "floating" was a lot of hard work. 

This was near the jetty, so it is salt water.

We back to our boat after an hour of swimming in the lake. Our boat man was waiting for us by the jetty the whole time. Our next activity was eagle feeding but I couldn't recall the island name. It was a popular spot for eagle feeding. The boat man threw bread into the water with the hope that the eagle will eat those. But sadly no eagle were eating those. 

We did saw lots of eagles flying around. Nothing really fascinating, truth to be told. Just some eagles flying around, occasionally entertained us by circling our boat.

Most of the eagles were hiding in on the tree branches up in the jungle there.

Spotted one

Our last stop is Pulau Beras Basah which honestly is a big disappointment. Maybe due to the bad weather, it was drizzling again when we were there, there were no much people on the beach. And no activities ongoing too. I mean there are kayak, jet ski and banana boat available but due to the bad weather, nobody was playing. So the whole stretch of beach was a bit empty.

But us, rain or no rain, the game is still on. We just played around in the sea water while the parents were sipping Maggie Hot Cup in the hut away from the rain. The best moment on Pantai Beras Basah was when we were hungry, we slurping our cup noodles under the drizzle while sitting on the beach and letting the waves washed our feet. Simple but definitely memorable.

We back to mainland after 4 hours and staying by the Chenang Beach to maximize beach time.

So we went on banana boat. 

The weather was over cast at the mainland but we thought it will still be okay for water activities. So we got ourselves a package of banana boat and jet ski. This is the worst decision ever.

Right after the banana boat, we were supposed to be on our jet skis. But they only got two jet skis available, so my brother and his gf went on one while both of my sisters went on the other. The bf and me stranded on the beach waiting for them (guide) to get us another jet ski.

As we wait, the sky was so gloomy and the sea was so rough that my sis turned her jet ski back and said she didn't wait it anymore. They were barely 5 minutes on it and she said the wave was too rough. The stupid guide scolded her and asked her not to come back until their time is up or else he'll charge us double wtf.

But my sis charmed her way and ask the guide to drive the jet ski for them. lolol

When it was our turn for the jet ski, I was already fed up of waiting. But boy, my sis was so right about the wave. It was rough and drizzling. The bf was having hard time controlling the jet ski and went against the wave to go out to the sea wtf. The further we went from the beach, the scarier I got. There was nobody else in sight and the beach was at least 150km away. It was bloody cold and I got sea water in my eyes. I seriously thought that will be the dead of me.

I mean if we capsized in the middle of the sea, nobody gonna see us. 

On the other hand, my brother was having a ball of time jet skiing with his gf. That boy really has no fear and went really fast and even further away from the beach. We couldn't even see them and the guide had to jet off to go after them asking them to come back when their half an hour was up lololol. 

In the end, we gave up our jet ski although we paid a lot for that.

Yeah, we became friends afterward and they let us on banana boat for cheaper price the next day and my bro even get on jet ski for free the next day. Plus the weather was so much better the next day T_T

Behind the barricade is actually the sea. The sound of  wave crashing against the shore at night can be quite comforting and definitely put my mind at ease. One of my dream is to buy or build a beach house which I'll visit just to get away from the chaos of life.

Philip Lim 3.1 Mini Pashli Satchel

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what look at first sight looks like.

Since I'm on the topic of bag, I might as well list down my dream bags wishlist. Some more I've spent the whole night googling for info about these bags eg. what leather are these bags are made of, where to buy cheaper (UK or US), what are the seasonal colors etc.

My list is not in chronicle order, I don't mind which one I got first as long as I got it. But frankly, I'm gravitate toward Balenciaga more. So, I'll start with it.

"Balenciaga Giant 12 City"

Is this color shocking you guys? Lol. If I were to invest in a designer handbag, I don't think I will settle for black color, unless if I already have one and shop for a second one. Since Balenciaga is all about color, I'll pick this shocking pink (Rose Thulian). Reason being, it is a perfect everyday bag for work and since I mostly wear black and dull color, this bag for sure will stand out. Even for just 5 minutes walking distance from car park into my office hahaha. 

Back track a bit, when I showed the bf the Philip Lim 3.1, he said the color (red) will hard to match with my outfit. I brushed him off and told him that the bag itself is a statement, it doesn't have to match my outfit. And he ignored me. Pfft..

On the contrary, this color got my attention too.

Actually I love all of the Balenciaga City colors. Some are bold, some are subtle. It is impossible to just choose one.

"Celine Nano"

Such a beautiful baby. This cobalt blue is screaming my name. Again, with such designer handbag, the color and the design itself are bold enough for your entire outfit. The size too is perfect for everyday on the go girl.

"Chloe Paraty"

For this one, I'll go with white. Every girl should have at least one white handbag for those tone down days. This is effortlessly chic to match with any outfit.

The bags that I've listed are quite high on my list. Of course there are other bags that I would love to have too. I have my list done, next step is to save my money for it. One step at a time, a bag in a year.

Langkawi Day 1

I just got back from Langkawi a week ago and finally sorting out all of the photos. I was having a blast exploring the little island with my family but a little careless with sunblock. So that explained the peeling skin on my forehead the very next day I'm back.  Note to self: must remember to reapply sunblock.

I was not feeling well the night prior to our flight. I could feel fever was coming for me and downed 2 panadols that day. Last time I went to Bangkok, I felt the same too the night before my flight fml. Don't know what's wrong, maybe just my body telling me it's too excited to go on holiday.

My parents are the most excited about the flight I think. They woke up at 4.30am for a 8.20am flight ='=. And they decided to woke me up at 5 freaking am wtf. But I couldn't argue with them for more zzzz time because I have history of missing my flights. Yup, flights. I've missed two flights because I was late.

We had about 4 hours to kill in KLIA2 but we didn't do much also. Just had lunch and explore the airport a bit. My oh my, I love KLIA2. Whoever own the airport really up their game (or my standard is really low wtf) I feel like I'm in mall shopping instead of just waiting for transit. If only they bring H&M or Forever21 there, my life is complete. Hahahaha

On our flight to Langkawi, we are probably the only Malaysian family on board. I don't know why there are so many Arabians went to Langkawi for holiday. They dominated the flight. By the way, this is not a racist statement okay, just an observation.

It rained miserably when we touched down at Langkawi airport but it didn't dampened our spirit (pun intended hahaha). Made a swift decision to rent Avanza for our whole stay at one of the airport car rental which turned out to be the best decision ever. Car rental is available at the airport so there is no need to pre book and you feel free to bargain with them about the price. I got the Avanza for RM80/day. Super cheap right? But then again, Langkawi is duty free so the car price probably cheap too. 

Drop our luggage at the hotel and off we go.

We stayed at De Baron Resort in Kuah. I regretted staying there tho. Not because the hotel sucks or anything but there's nothing to do at Kuah. There's only several malls around which basically sell the same things eg. chocolate, alcohol, cigarette etc. We prefer outdoor activities and exploring the island, so the perfect place to stay is at Chenang. But never mind also, we got car can drive there everyday (but really waste our gas)

De Baron Resort is quite nice although it does not feel any resort-y if you know what I means. Our room quite spacious and has sea view but my parents room is small and no nice view. And my mom complained that their water pressure really low, I didn't experience that in our room tho.

First things first after we're done check in at the hotel is to hunt for food. Everyone was famished, so we cincai picked a Thai Restaurant. I love the food because it feel authentic, they even played Thai song on the radio. But it was a tad too expensive for some really simple dishes.

After the early dinner, we drove to Chenang to catch sunset and checking out island hopping tours. Chenang is half an hour drive for Kuah T_T And we saw monkeys, they are everywhere, on the road side, on the trees.

We strolled along the beach just to survey the crowd and the tours provided. Because it was off peak season, there were not much crowd and mostly are foreigners.The beach was more quiet than I've expected. Probably because the sun already set and there's nothing much to do.

I've gained so much weight *gasp* *faint*

If compared to Phuket, Langkawi is a lot more quaint and not as lively as Phuket. Even their night market is just a stretch of stalls along a lane selling only clothes. I'm talking about the one near Underwater World Aquarium because it is the nearest to the beach. I didn't bother to check out other night market that's far from the beach.

Anyway, that concludes my day 1 there. Will continue blogging about the rest of the trip soon.
