For once, thanks Orang Minyak

Funny how I looked back, I realized Orang Minyak had brought me to her. It was during my days at Labuan Matriculation College when we first met. She's roommate of my friend and I illegally move in to their room. And the rest is history.

Readers, meet Marie Marilyn Puyang.

This is the only decent picture of her that I can find.  But, I assure you, she's one big camwhore. Maybe that's why we get along so well. Another similarity that bonded us together is our disease, the procrastination. Yup, when people are struggling for their exam, we had our movie marathon, wandering around the fourth floor of Block C Madani asking others for movies.

Another thing is, we're all scady-cat. So, we slept together on the floor, despite the fact that we have a complete bed each. Maybe we're much prefer to cram on each other sleeping on the 2 mattresses. Oh, by we, I meant all of us in that room. There were four of us. The mattresses are so crowded that once May slapped me right in the face when she turned around in her sleep. I did confronted her the next morning.

Since I was an illegal emigrant, I was not entitled a study table in their room because they dedicated 'my' table to put our culinary tools. May was kind enough to share her table with me. So, when we studied, we had to crammed our butts to our shared space. May was trying to study for her exam in the picture above and me, well, as usual, procrastinate around camwhoring.

Because she was kind enough to share her table with me, in return, I let her use my laptop. We always fight for the laptop to play Diner Dash. By the way May, I still couldn't get to the highest level. *sob sob*. Like me, May is a movie freak too. Trust me, look at her picture below. She looked so focus, finishing her maggie without taking her eyes off the laptop screen.

In term of craziness, we're equivalent to each other. Remember our 'clubbing' day in our room? Why are we so lame, turning off the light in our room and put on the blasting music player and pretended that we're in a club. But I had fun dancing that night. To welcome 2008, we threw our very own new year party. It was awesome. With the crazy truth and dare session and cake cutting and 'champagne'.

I miss those moments very much.

Dear soulmate, I know things are not going your way now. Life is a rough journey but hang in there, okay? You always told me to be strong and no one worth our tears. Boys or no boys, we will survive. We maybe useless, hopeless and jobless but we have each other. I will always be there for you.

Love, me.
xoxo

I Wish Money Grows on Tree

Something doesn't feel right to me these few days. The problem is I can't figure out what is it. I just have the heavy feeling and an invisible burden on my shoulder. My practical work is fine, nothing bother me much except for the reports lining up and preparations for my lecturer to come by checking on us next week.

Come to think of it, perhaps growing up, being an adult bothers me. Yesterday, I went to settle my water and electric bills. Never before I did any of this errand but when I do now, it appeared to me that almost everything revolves around money. You need money to light up your house, money to have water for your shower, money for a roof for shelter and money for car petrol and money for food. See, money plays such a big part of everything. Haih, even go to public toilet need money.

Another issue, my shelter for next month still haven't been confirm yet. I went house-watching yesterday and did found a decent flat. But the problem now is, to take it or not. Honestly, I don't place my hope in hostel anymore but my friend keep telling me to give it a go. Who knows maybe the hostel management will pity us the third year student. I know it's a slim chance. My dad wants me to take the flat. Sooner or later, I will need to move out as well. This is such a dilemma.

Now I'm secretly dying for a get-away. Life takes it tolls on me and I feel so suffocated. Perhaps a get-away to escape the hustle bustle of life can help. Something to take my focus away from the daily life, something like yoga, maybe? I'm thinking to give it a try. I always wanted to do yoga and now I have friends whom willing to  go with me, it's time. The thought of trying something new excites me. Glad that I still have the spontaneity in me. Oh, I have a beach picnic in mind, but that's unconfirmed yet.

You're so close yet so far away

I wish I have the guts.
I wish you have the guts too.
We'll try.
Together, we'll face the day,
you and I won't run away.

Day trips

This is what I had been up to last week. Let's the picture do the talking, shall we?

Caution: Tons of pictures ahead. Bear with my narcissism.

Day trips to Asajaya-Simunjan-Sadong Jaya-Sebuyau back to back.

Pineapple plantation in Sg. Tambai.

I was never a fan of pineapple, but I changed my mind now. Never say never.

Little town of Simunjan.

Coconut plantation. Nothing beat the fresh coconut in the middle of hot day.

Yum yum...delicious.

I looked greedy balancing coconut on one hand and lime on another. :)

Enjoying the limes. Fruits overdose on one day.

Harvesting some to be taken back. The orchard owner insisted. Hehe

Camwhore is a must.

Can't bear the scorching sun.

Cangkuk manis, the courtesy of farm owner.

At Kilang Tebaloi the next day.

Super healthy veggies planted in netting.

Red guava in netting. Doesn't taste good I tell you.

Super nice farmer. His red guava taste real good. I can't resist it. He gave us one big plastic of salad too.

I loves road trips and site visit. Such an eye opener, aside from the fact that I'm served with fresh fruits and vegetables. And this week, I'm attached under Veterinar and will going to cattle palm plantation tomorrow. Let's hope the owner doesn't insist on us to bring his cattle back. Hehehe.

Homeless me.

Who thought finding a flat with a decent price is such a pain in the ass? After numerous phone calls and asking around, I'm still back to square one. I did found a flat with a decent price but the contract agreement is ridiculous. And others, the price is out of my league. I'll be living on instant noodles and absolute no social life if I take that flat. It's so not worth all the scarifications.

Terrace house is not on my list too because 1) my dad says no. He claims that it is not safe and I'm totally agree with him. 2) the price is way too high. So, that left me with no choice but to hunt harder for shelter. Now, I'm kind of wish my dad had said yes to his promotion to Kuching early last year. But that will be very selfish of me of course.

I did appealed for room in my hostel but my guts are telling me I don't stand a chance on that. Screw hostel, I'm done staying there. Too many stupid rules and the facilities are crap. The dateline of my house-hunting is real close, as close as 3 weeks, right after my industrial training over and the new semester starts. Anyone knows any flats that cheap and live-able, please share the information with me. No rewards but I will thank you from the deepest of my heart.

On the other note, I still couldn't believe how brave I am to push my luck with him. But I guess a simple invitation for a hangout is the answer. I can sense that he wanted to move further but too shy. The obvious hint he gave when he mentioned how happy his mate looked when he hangout with us is the final draw for me. So, I just simply ask if he want to join us for hangout next time and thank God, he said yes. Perhaps I'm just tired of sitting around waiting for something to happen, so I make it happened instead. Cheers for a new level of our friendship.

The A-Team

To reward myself for getting well, I made plan with the friends to watch any latest movie. It been a long time since I went to the cinema and lots of new movies are showing now. The original plan is to catch Karate Kid but the tickets are sold out. So, we settled for The A-Team. I rate this movie 4 out of 5. I love the action and the humor. The plot is kinda confusing if you're not paying attention. One look away from the screen and you will go off track and miss the storyline. The twisted plan in the end kinda hard for me to catch because both the 'villains" looked almost the same to me. But overall, this movie is a two thumbs up.

Forgive me but I think I have crushes on all of them. *fainted* yeah, I'm rambang mata like that. Hannibal is such a smart ass too and I fell for Murdock's eccentricity and Baracus's dark sense of humor. But my total favorite is Face (Bradley Cooper). How could you resist such a hot dude?? Hmmm..talk about temptation.

Introducing to you guys, my A-Team for last night.

I loves it when a plan comes together- Hannibal

To Grace, that's okay my dear. We miss you too. We'll arrange another hang out session soon or wait till the uni re-open day. Just 4 more weeks to go. : )

I'll spoil my future daughter with every chance I have

My favorite Hollywood child.

So adorable, isn't she?

Maternal part of me kicks in. I wanna have a daughter.

Aww..

Enough said, my heart melts.

She's one little fashionista.

Is it possible to not love Suri Cruise? She is so adorable, prancing around in her designer dress and 1 inch heels. (though I love her better when she's in her ballerina flat) Someday when I have a daughter of my own, I'll spoil her with all these cute little dresses. Nothing looks more beautiful than your happy daughter laughing and running around in cute dress. Children are definitely my weakness. I just love them so much (this only applies to cute kids..haha).
