Bangkok Part 5 - Pattaya

This will be my last installment for my Bangkok trip back in December. For previous posts click here:

We went to Pattaya for 2 days 1 night just to chillax. Turnout, our chillaxing trip ended up a bit adventurous. We been on a taxi, bus and motorcycle to reach our hotel, Dusit Thani in Pattaya. Never in my life I would imagine myself being fetched on a motorcycle without a helmet with two others on the same motorcycle (with Sara and the driver(?)) bustling through the busy street of Pattaya, one hand grabbing my bag and the other had grabbing anything that I could to save my life including the driver shirt and being dropped off in front of our 5 star hotel.

No wonder the valet is not interested to serve us after our glamorous ride. Pffft

Complimentary drink while checking in.

The spacious hotel lobby

View from our balcony

Our hotel is actually located right next to the sea.

And the best part is our hotel has infinity pool but we didn't have time to check it out.
We only swam awhile at the swimming pool (the one that we could see from our balcony), basically to test out our bikinis that we bought at Chatuchak Market :p

Twinsie!

Yeah, just pictures of me and Miao because miss Sara was busy somewhere on the phone :p After we were done exploring our room, we freshen up and went for lunch and sight seeing. The weather was scorching hot and the beach area was filled with tourists sunbathing. Us being the Asian, were trying to stay under the shade as much as possible.

I think this is the only shopping mall there. It called Central something if I'm not mistaken.

We hit the food court first as we were all starving after the 2 hours ++ journey from Bangkok. Sick of having too much meat on our meals recently, we opted for more veggies for lunch. It was delicious as always. Seriously, Bangkok is more than a shopping heaven for me, it's a food heaven too!

Next thing after we done filling our tummy, we went shopping. First stop, Topshop. Various stores such as Armani Exchange, Topshop, Zara and so on were having their year end sale. But we didn't not managed to grab anything for ourselves tho, just some gifts for family.

Miao and I were having a little outfit shots while waiting for Sara in the changing room. I tried on a pair of studded short in one of the stores but didn't buy it. Too expensive :( While in Bangkok/Pattaya, one must try out their Thai massage. We tried the Thai massage after shopping and a foot massage after dinner. Both only for 300/200 Baht each. It was amazing.

Night view from our balcony

At night, we went for seafood dinner at The Walking Street.

There was nothing much for us to see/explore at The Walking Street as it was quite dangerous for 3 girls to walk around in a street filled with strip clubs. We saw lots and lots of characters of strippers but didn't went in to any of the clubs. Well, it is probably the heaven for guys, but not for us.

Next day, checked out.

We went to the Central again for lunch the next day before leaving Pattaya. This time we chose steamboat and went for MK Restaurant. It was Thai father's day that day, everyone were wearing yellow shirts and out having lunch with their families.

Just a simple but filling meal.

We took the van back to Bangkok and slept the whole 2 hours ride. Reached Bangkok around 7 something which is Bangkok traffic jam prime time. To avoid the heavy traffic, we decided to go dinner at Eat Am Are. I know, the name is weird but the steaks are good, just as they claimed!

I'm exhausted

While these two still energetic enough to camwhore

When I say food in Bangkok is heaven, I was dead serious. For my one week stay there, I have never had a disappointed meals. My favorite will definitely the salted egg squirt at W Restaurant and the green curry powder squirt at the diner near Sara's apartment.

I'm so in love with their food that I grabbed quite a handful of the food spices home. I did tried to cook the green curry once but failed. :( I still miss Thai authentic tom yam soup.

The day before we leaving Bangkok, we had lunch at the diner near Sara's apartment again. Just to have another foodgasm. Seriously, I wanna go back to Bangkok just to have their food again.

I shall be back again, Bangkok!

Rude people need to be taught!

When I was suddenly down with gastric on last Thursday, I thought it was just a normal gastric attack. Popped my gastric pill and I expected the pain to go away. But I was wrong. Around midnight, the pain attacked again and twice the pain before. It felt more like an abdominal pain and I had to lie in fetus position and put pressure on my stomach to ease the pain.

I couldn't freaking sleep all night at all. And this was the first time I experienced such an intense pain that it scared me to be honest. I mean, it could be something worse (touchwood!).  So the next morning, I rushed myself to clinic.

The clinic was packed and it was just 10 mins past 8 in the morning. But there's only one man at the registration counter so I queued up behind him. And then, this Auntie whom just entered the clinic, pretended to talk to the girl behind the counter and she freaking fucking sneaked into my line and cut my queue.

I was in pain and not in the mood to tolerate any stupid old lady whom cut my line. Oh God, sometimes people are really beyond stupid and rude. Queuing up in a line is one basic courtesy. She knew that I was angry as I caught her glancing at me before pretending that she did not cut my line. Her daughter came in after her and they both just blocked me from the counter. So when it was my their turn, I may or may not have said "Bitch" out loud.

I let them got away this time but I will not tolerate this kind of rude people next time. They need to be teach some lesson but of course I do not dare to simply scold people la, scare later kena shoot. You guys know la,  be careful not to step on the wrong foot  in Sibu.

This is what my doc prescript to me.

Turnout it was just a normal gastric attack, nothing much serious but I still got gastric a bit today. I seriously have no idea what went wrong. I do not skipped meal but still occasionally got gastric. I didn't eat any spicy food or sour food also this week. Eat too much also can trigger gastric.

Anyway, I had been watching 2 Broke Girls these two days and I absolutely love it. I love Max wittiness and sarcasms. I kinda inspired to bake cupcake too but I have no oven. I tried baking cupcake before but failed (I blogged about it but too lazy to go through my archive) 2 Broke Girls is a good chill out series but if you can't take sarcasm, then this is not your kind of series.

That's all for now, gotta get back to my series.

I Want CosmoBox

Have you heard about CosmoBox? Well, I have from my favorite blogger Joyce. If you're familiar with Birchbox, it basically run on the same concept. Definitely is a wise move to do before splurging a huge amount of money into something that you have no idea will suit your skin or not. So many goodies in just one box

If you know about my quest to delay aging, you will probably know which product that I'm talking about.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about the brand but not ready to fork out quite an amount of money for something that I'm not sure will work best and suit my skin. Therefore when I see this opportunity, I take no time to jump at the chance to get this goodies deliver to my door step and continue my age delaying quest.

Some people may think that I'm too young to start delaying my aging but recently I started to notice some fine lines under my eyes and some on my forehead. It's kind of bugging me, to be honest. With its 3X White™ technology, I hope it will works wonder for me. Murad products is based in The Science of Cellular Water too which provides hydration for your skin. Weekend away - Kuching

This getaway was on January but I never have enough time to blog about it, so here goes. Truth to be told, we're really close to cancel this plan because of a hiccup. But I was so determined to go, I really need a break from work and I miss Kuching so much.

This trip was a chillax for us. All that we did was meeting friends, eating and shopping a little bit. I know I always say I only shop a bit in most of trips but this one is real one. I only got myself a top for Chinese New Year and that's all. But the bf was going on differ direction. He shopped a lot, totally did his CNY shopping there.

We were super starving when we reached Kuching at evening. Checked into Abell Hotel, freshened up and we wandered nearby to grab some snacks before dinner.

Trying Ding Tea milk tea for the first time and I came to conclusion that every milk tea tastes the same.

Shihlin crispy chicken, seriously taste better than 大大大鸡趴 ( Dunno whether the name is correct or not)

After snacking, we met up with my HEMAS friends for dinner, it's my must do whenever I was there. But too bad we didn't take any pictures together.

Saturday was spent shopping mostly. Bf was on a hunt for his CNY new clothes. He was in and out of fitting room while I nodded and shook my head for any clothes that he model for.

We stuck at traffic a lot too :(
By the way, thanks Mila for lending us your car, love you!
We also managed to meet up with bf's friends too and watched Parker, sadly it's a boring movie.

At night, we took a stroll at Waterfront. I used to hang out there a lot when I stayed at Kuching. The crowd there was playing Amazing Helicopter, so we joined them. Got tired then we hang out at cafe nearby and shisa-ed.

Sunday we explored the new mall, City One since we had a few hours to spare before flying back. The mall still so new and not much shopped open yet.

So we fooled around a bit, pretending to be away somewhere cool  cold.

Posing with CNY props

Tried the yogurt ice-cream and love it.

Hanging out at Starbucks before boarding

Bangkok Part 4

Click here for my Bangkok trip posts:

Continue from my Bangkok posts previously. Other than eating, we're busy shopping. I kinda lost track of which day these pictures were taken.

On our way to Platinum Mall

Bangkok sure is famous for its shopping but I didn't really shopped much there. The price range is not as cheap as I thought it would be. I guess that's what tourism did to the shopping scenes there.

A must do in Bangkok

We had our lunch at Platinum Mall food court and I had my chicken bento.

We shopped a bit at Platinum and wandered to Central World nearby. However, I still managed to get a few accessories at Platinum, a clutch, tops and dresses and shoes too. Okay la, I did shopped a lot.

The famous shrine

Can you spot my recycle shopping bag? hehehe

Some people even took shopping to an extreme level and trotted a trolley bag to put their hauls but I think most of them were sourcing for their shops/blogshop.

We had yakiniku for early dinner.

It was super delicious and we refilled our bacon 3 times shamelessly.
I myself salivating when I think about the crispy bacon now.

On the way to catch our train to go home

Since Sara lives a little bit off the central of Bangkok, we actually had to commute via train and catch bus/van/taxi afterward to go back to her apartment. That night was the first time in my life I experienced the most horrifying traffic jam. It was evening where people were off from work and students back from uni. The train station was jam packed and the bus that we're on also super super packed. It was really sardine packed, if you get what I mean. We stuck in immobile traffic for one whole hour and I had to stand almost throughout the 2 hours bus ride home in a packed bus. My face was literally shoved under someone underarm. ='= Unbelievable how a 20 mins bus ride turned into 2 hours just because of the traffic.

I'm glad traffic back home is much more bearable.
