Mini reunion during Christmas

Every year, we had a mini Christmas reunion with my aunt and her family in Miri. We drove all the way from Sibu and they drove down from Brunei. This year was no exception as well. It was a simple celebration for us. Since my dad birthday in on 31st December, my aunt always give him an early celebration. And what a lucky guy my dad is, he got iPhone 4 for his 44th birthday. Okay, now I'm green with envy.

2 hours in heels and I need a foot massage

Due to time constraint, I only managed to go to Harold's house for visiting and had to pass on other invitations. But all in all, I had a wonderful Christmas albeit some hiccups along the way. I hope you guys had a great Christmas as well.

Peer pressure

I can resist anything but temptation. Therefore, I decided to join the bandwagon and signing up for Tumblr as well. Actually, this is not my first trial. Tried it before but something went wrong with my account. Last night, my little sis and I tried signing up again and voila, it works.

I don't write much there. Basically, I just reblog anything that inspires me. But feel free to check it out, here's the link. It feels weird to ask you to follow me there but I'll be glad if you do. It seems like my little sister caught the Tumblr bug as well, do check hers out too, http://speakandshout.tumblr.com/

Bliss

With the Christmas song and the laughter of my siblings in the background, it feels so good to be back home. Nothing can beat the comfort of my own bed and the cozy feeling of home.

Received this from Angie earlier, thanks Dayung.

Everyone seems to be in Christmas mode, Pino's included as well

Have yourself a merry little Christmas folks

Like usual, our family will celebrate Christmas in Miri again this year. This had become our tradition since I went to Matriculation in 2007. Can't wait to meet my cousins.

Boys over flower

I'm a TV series and movie addict, no doubt about it. But Japanese and Korean drama are never on my list until recently. Yes friends, I finally succumbed to Korean temptation. The charm of Lee Min Ho got me badly. He's tall, good looking and cool. Okay, I got a little bit delusional here. Obviously that's his character in Boys Over Flower series, Gu Jun Pyo.

Basically, Boys Over Flower is about the rich and powerful boys whom named themselves F4 and a commoner girl. If you already watch Meteor Garden, the Taiwan series, the storyline is almost the same since both of the series are adapted from Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango. But I much prefer BOF because it is hilarious and sad at the same time.

Never before I thought I would love Korean drama since I always thought their dramas are a little bit over the top. Forbidden love, illness, objection from families and so on, it always portrait the same story line but Lee Min Ho made me change my mind. He played his character well and the fact that he's gorgeous and can totally rock the curly hair had made me swoon over him.

One word: Gorgeous.

For your information, the only Japanese drama that I ever watch was Hana-Kimi and Boys Over Flower is the first Korean drama I had watched. When it come to Asian drama, I prefer something light-hearted and hilarious. Both dramas cater my needs very well. Though so, I doubt I will watch another Asian drama. But then again, I might change my mind.

For a non Korean drama fan like me to change her mind, Boys Over Flower is really something. Maybe you should give it a try too.

Big breakfast

Currently having McD Big breakfast alone at the airport but I don't mind at all. Sometimes I love being alone in a crowded place, yeah, I'm weird like that. Though I love to be wander alone sometimes, there are only certain places that I would go such as airport (inevitable because I always travel alone) and my fave malls The Spring (Kuching) and  Delta mall (Sibu).

Can't wait to be home soon. Merry Christmas in advance. By the way, I'd been very good this year, don't you think I deserve a little something? Do your part if you get the hint, if you don't get it, something must be wrong with you :p

Food poisoning

It turned out my Monday wasn't so great after all. I spent more than half of the day lying on bed with a slight fever a body pain. My first verdict was I might have catch the fever. Again, I was totally wrong. I felt nausea and had been throwing up 3 times in 2 hours. The pain of throwing up was unbearable, I cried.

I went to the clinic but the doctor didn't help much. He checked me in 2 minutes and gave me medicine for gastric and stomachache and dehydration salt. In the end, I turned to next door pharmacy to get medicine to stop the vomiting.

The doctor suspected that I have food poisoning. It could be true. But my friends and I ate the same thing that morning and I'm the only one with the upset stomach. Let's hope I'm getting better because I have sampling for my project tomorrow.

Amazing Arrow Helicopter

Happy Monday everyone. It's 7.44 now and I'm wide awake. How was your weekend? Mine was great although my legs are covered with bruises and I badly bruised my index finger.

I started my weekend on Friday with midnight show of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of Dawn Treader with my friends. It was awesome, way awesomer than Harry Porter and The Deathly Hollow. No offense to Potter's fan. But after the movie, Vero and I had to excuse ourselves from our normal after-movie hangout session because we both were tired. All thank to the gym. Yup, you read it right. My housemates and I went to Unimas gym that evening, working out to shape ourselves.

It was not our first time going to Unimas gym, in fact we had a tryout there early last semester (around July or August) but something (or rather the crowd) scared us off. During semester session, the gym was packed, too packed perhaps and we're not comfortable working out in such condition, hence we opt for the outdoor for our jogging session. But during semester break, it is almost empty and all the equipments are available. My outcome, I feel refreshed and might going there again today.

On Saturday, we tried yoga at home. Super fun but tiring. I found a new passion in yoga. Mermer, you might have a friend for your trial at Sze Studio :). Our plan for Saturday was picnic at Angie's village. I went there before. This sudden picnic idea was a follow up from our picnic at Sg. Rayu last Tuesday. This time we had a bigger crowd with us. There were 11 of us and it was superb. Well, anything that river or pool related are superb for me as I'm in love with swimming. Unlike our last visit, the water current was stronger this time, thus we went to swim harder or else will be dragged along with the current.

At night, we met with Kano for our usual weekend hangout. After dinner, we hit out usual spot, Kuching Waterfont and that's where we found a new toy, the Amazing Arrow Helicopter. If you're not familiar with this thing, try drive along Kuching Waterfont at night. You will see lots of colorful thingy flying around, that's Amazing Arrow Helicopter. Basically, it is like shooting with the elastic band. Unlike the old school game, you will shoot an arrow complete with LED light into the sky. It was beautiful but painful because if you're not familiar with shooting with elastic band, the band will likely to snap at your finger. We're competing against each other to see who can shoot the highest. Pfft, Vero, Kano and Fred are the pros in this game.

At Sunday, I woke up at 10am with a very sore shoulder, hands and legs. It must the workout, yoga, swimming and the shooting game. I was so tired that I even felt sleepy walking around The Spring. At last, I just went home and slept. So, that's my weekend. How's yours? Oh, I bruised my legs while climbing the rocks at the waterfall and bruised my index finger in the shooting game. My pain worth the fun.

November babies

The other day when I was talking to Harold, he mentioned that most of our friends were born around January and November. You see, it is at the start of the year and the end of the year. Around November every year, well since Matriculation, we're sitting for our final exam and thus the November babies will have their celebration with the next birthday, which was 2 months late as the next celebration was on January. But we made it different this year because everyone deserves a birthday bash on that special day (or at least on that month)

Harold's birthday

Top right: Khai's
Bottom from left to right: Angie's, Amy's and Sharifah's.

During Harold's birthday, we had a simple celebration at McDonald. But nothing spelled simple that night because we had a blast laughing and talking. After stuffing ourselves, we strolled the along Kuching Waterfront. It was late (or early maybe, around 3am, you decide :p) and the road was deserted. We're cold but that didn't stopped us. We continued the chitchat session at Family's Cafe and only went home when the sun was rising.

For the next celebration, we went for steamboat at Heritage. Food and friends, it was a great combination.

Of course the night didn't end there. We went to catch Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollow. Honestly, they talked too much in this movie. I want to see magic and I miss Hogwart and Quidditch but what to do, Harry is growing up and growing old.

Vero and I got sidetracked by the Christmas tree

See, Christmas tree made me happy.

Pictures are from Lulu's and Carol's camera. Some are stolen from Harold's Facebook. :)

Hello December

First day of December and we bought Christmas tree for our apartment. It's our first Christmas and our theme is red. I love Christmas and had been downloading tones of Christmas songs. Christmas decorations are all well put together and Christmas songs are everywhere in every malls that I've been to these few days. December is always my favorite month. It's the season of giving and be thankful for the blessing.
